Provely

Usage limits

Provely is free. There is no paid tier, no trial that runs out, no card to add. Every time you review a skill, we run the work on real models and pick up that bill ourselves.

Limits are how we keep it that way. They stop one busy day from spending the whole pot before everyone else has had a turn. They are not a nudge to pay, because there is nothing to pay for. They just spread a shared, limited budget fairly across a day.

How big a skill can be

Provely reads the whole folder, but the amount of text sent to the models is capped. Very large files are trimmed to the part that matters for the review, so a single skill can never use far more than its share.

Nothing in the skill is executed, and obvious secrets are masked before any text is stored or sent.

Your daily reviews

Each review runs several model passes: inferring the contract, three specialist reviews and a trigger simulation. That work costs money, so you get a daily allowance of reviews.

We only count a review once it actually runs. If a review fails part way, it does not come out of your allowance, and any provider usage that did happen is still recorded against the shared budget.

A completed review also lets you draft up to two AI-written revisions of that SKILL.md, so you can act on the findings without leaving the page. Those drafts are model runs too, so they count inside the same shared daily spend ceiling as reviews, and they carry their own small daily allowance per person so drafting cannot be used to bypass the review limit above.

The shared daily budget

On top of the per-person allowance, there is one budget for the whole service each day: a ceiling of about $25 of model spend. If enough people put Provely through its paces that we reach it, reviews pause for everyone until the reset, and we say so plainly on the page.

When this happens, nothing you did caused it, your review is never charged to you, and your own allowance is untouched. It simply means the day was busy.

When limits reset

Every daily allowance resets at midnight UTC. Whatever you used yesterday is back to full at the reset, every day. Nothing carries over, and nothing is held against you.

Signing in

Signing in saves your reviews so you can return to them. It does not change your daily allowance: the limits are the same whether you are signed in or not, because they track the shared budget, not your account.

Accounts are shared with provely.app, our prompt checker. The same sign-in works on both, and deleting your account removes it from both.

How the limits go up

These are the limits for today. They are set where they are so the pot lasts the day, not because we want them low. The community pool has a monthly goal, and when a month reaches it we raise the daily limits for everyone by about five times, not just for the people who gave.

If you would like to help lift them, here is how the pool works: Support Provely.
